Beaufort West is easily accessed by road as it lies on the N1 between Cape Town

(460 km) and Bloemfontein (515 km). Beaufort West’s biggest neighbouring towns are

George (260 km) and Oudtshoorn (198 km).

  • Air :

George Airport is about 260 km away and provides a variety of daily flight options.

Beaufort West Airport (10 km) can only accommodate chartered flights at the moment.

  • Rail:

The area can be reached by train from most of the main centres. Train schedules and information can be obtained from:
