Overview
The Central Karoo District Municipality executes the Roads function on behalf of the Western Cape Provincial Government which are the Roads Authority for all roads in the District excluding the N1. This Roads Agency function is provided through a service delivery agreement.
The Department of Roads Infrasture Services is responsible for the following services:
- Road Maintenance
- Road Construction / Regravel
- Plant Repair and Maintenance
- Stores / Budget Control
- Costing
- Wayleaves
- Road Closures / Proclamations
- Access Control
- Borrow Pit Maintenance
- Design
