Kwalifikasie Vereistes

• Ten minste graad 9 met 3 jaar toepaslike en bewysbare ondervinding in die hantering van grondverskuiwings masjienerie soos laaigrawe, padskrapers, 4x4 trekkers, kompaksie rollers, kruiptrekkers (Eksterne kandidate)
• of Graad 9 en suksesvolle voltooiing van interne evaluasie proses (Interne kandidate)
• Goeie lees-, kommunikasie-, toesighouers- en skryfvaardighede.
• ‘n Geldige Kode EC-lisensie met PrDP.
• Vaardigheid in twee van die drie amptelike tale van die Wes-Kaap (Afrikaans/Engels/Xhosa)
• Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal onderwerp word aan mediese fiksheid assessering in terme van die voorskrifte van die Konstruksieregulasies en Wet op Beroeps-gesondheid en Veiligheid, 1993.

Kandidate sal onderwerp word aan bevoegdheidstoetse in terme van die hantering van siviele konstruksie masjinerie. Daar word van kandidate verwag om weg van hul tuisdorp te werk en uit te slaap soos operasioneel vereis. Dui asb duidelik aan vir watter standplaas u aansoek doen.

Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal onder andere verantwoordelik wees vir die volgende:

• Vervoer van personeel en goedere
• Veilige hantering, nasien en bestuur van konstruksievoer- en werktuie soos van toepassing in die konstruksie hergruisspan
• Konstruksie aktiwiteite sluit in uitgrawings, verwerking, plasing en kompaksie van gruislae, watervervoer, verkeerbeheer
• Toesighouding soos vereis

Toesighoudende Padskraper Operateur

Kwalifikasie Vereistes:

Chief Technician: Engineering

Closing Date: 03 January 2022
Salary: TASK T13 (R358 068,00 per annum)

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma/ NQF Level 6 in Civil Engineering.
• 3 Years’ experience in road maintenance or road construction.
• Proficiency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans/English/Xhosa).
• Valid code B drivers license.
• Computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Power Point (MS Office) computer package.

Recommendations:

• Knowledge of Civil Designer, AllyCad and MS Projects.
• Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as PrTechni
• Specific experience in the construction of concrete structures

The successful candidate shall be responsible for functions in road maintenance and concrete structures, including:

• Cconstruction and general maintenance: Surveying, design, estimating, setting-out, supervision at roads and structures.
• Oversee maintenance works and systems, including upgrades, regravel, reseal, pavement systems, road sign inventory.
• Processing of Planning applications: Assist with road closures, land use, proclamations & wayleaves.
• Compilation of tender specifications.
• Report writing.
• Quality control for road construction and maintenance projects, incl. implementation of national legislation and the Department of Transport & Public Works’ standards applicable to Roads and Stormwater maintenance
• Liaison with public.

Occupational Health and Safety Officer

Closing Date: 03 January 2022
Salary: TASK T11 (R269 400 per annum)

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate + NQF Level 6 Tertiary Qualification
• Registered and in good standing with the South African Council for the Project and Construction
• Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO)
• Administrative competency to write reports, Computer literacy, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
• Valid Code B Driving License.
• Sound knowledge of applicable legislation and policies
• Good proficiency in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape Province
• Sound interpersonal skills and willingness to work outside normal office hours and travel substantially
• SAMTRAC Certificate
• At least 3 years’ experience in an Occupational Health Safety and Road Construction

Job Purpose

To coordinate the application of procedures and sequences associated with the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related statutory requirements, investigation, inspection, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and enforcing compliance of health and safety programs, disseminates information and/or advice on practices that negatively impact on health and safety and establishing appropriate measures to curb and control risks in order to ensure and supporting an environment conducive to a healthy and safe workplace.

The successful candidate shall be subjected to compulsory medical testing in terms of the Construction Regulations, 2003 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993 as revised).
